The Laboratory Assistant Trainer (Trainer) is responsible to provide technical and clinical phlebotomy, EKG and Holter Monitor training across Graham Health System. The Trainer will be directly responsible for all aspects of training including, but not limited to, the act of providing phlebotomy and the process of preparing specimens, ensuring training and educational material is up-to-date, the completion of annual competencies as well as providing the continuing education for staff members who perform phlebotomy within Graham Health System. The trainer will ensure lab assistants provide the maximum level of service to patients and hospital staff to ensure patients’ laboratory needs are effectively met. This position is responsible for the training, development and continuation of applicable skills related to the laboratory assistant position across all Graham Health System entities. The Trainer collaborates with all laboratory supervisors and the Graham Medical Group educator to ensure all aspects of training are meeting the health system needs. The Trainer reports directly to the Laboratory Coordinator.
Lab Assistant II
High School Diploma or Phlebotomy Certification
Associates Degree or equivalent preferred
3-years’ experience working within laboratory
1-year supervisory experience preferred
