Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Post Producer to join us on a project-to-project basis. As a key member of our post production freelance roster, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the post production process on potential projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and managing the overall workflow. This position requires a strong background in post production roles, proficiency in media management and formatting, and the ability to lead a team effectively. Background in editing preferred.
*Note, this is not a full-time or part-time gig. We would love to chat and get to know YOU and your body of work in order to add you to a roster of talented producers we can call for specific projects. Daily rates will be based on experience level and project-specific budget.
Responsibilities:
Media Management and Formatting:
- Efficiently manage and organize media assets throughout the post-production process.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and specifications for formatting and delivery.
Editing:
- Utilize skills to contribute to the editing process when necessary.
- Provide creative input to enhance the overall quality of the final product.
Team Management:
- Lead post-production team including assistant editors, editors, producers, finishing teams (conform, color, mix), and GFX/VFX teams
- Foster a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure the team meets project deadlines.
Client Management:
- Act as a liaison between clients and the post-production team.
- Clearly communicate project expectations and updates to clients.
- Address client feedback and make necessary revisions to meet their satisfaction.
Schedule and Project Management:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget constraints.
- Anticipate potential issues and proactively address them to avoid delays.
- Oversee and guide post projects from project set up to final delivery
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 3-5 years of proven experience in post-production, background in editing preferred
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Strong understanding of media management and formatting requirements.
Communication:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team and client management.
Team Management:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
