POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Transportation Manager the Wash Bay Supervisor’s primary responsibility is the operation of the Live Haul Wash Bay. This role will manage, supervise and monitor a team of 18 employees operating on a three shift Monday to Friday standard work schedule. In addition to personnel management (scheduling, training, talent development, payroll and maximizing the success of the team), this role requires hands on management of the facility and its equipment.

A SNAPSHOT OF SOME OF THE EXCITING THINGS YOU WILL DO: - Human Resources Responsibilities
- Provide daily supervision, direction & scheduling of employees
- Staff recruitment & selection
- Training of employees in duties & policies
- Evaluation of personnel
- Facility Management Responsibilities
- Efficient execution of truck & trailer washing schedule
- Ensures equipment is maintained in safe condition
- Arranges repair & maintenance work on equipment with vendors
- Ensures execution of MLF HSE program for team
- Ensures team compliance to Maple Leaf Foods bio-security protocol
- Prepare and submit necessary reports
- Other duties as required
WHAT YOU WILL BRING: - Must possess excellent skills in:

- Problem solving and troubleshooting
- Proven mechanical experience
- 1 - 2 years of supervising experience required
- Ability to motivate, and steer employees towards company goals and vision
- Class 5 Drivers License
- Class 1 Drivers License considered an asset
- Ability to have flexible hours
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a high performing team
