Summary

The General Maintenance Engineer II will be responsible for operation of the central plant. This role requires the engineer to monitor, operate, and maintain the mechanical equipment in different areas of the hotel, must be able to work on their own with little or no supervision. This person should possess general troubleshooting skills to repair kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and HVAC equipment. Must be able to replace light switches and outlets, familiar with working on high voltage and power over ethernet lighting. Must know how to schedule and control space temps in all areas of the hotel through the BMS. Familiar with life safety systems, Fire alarm, sprinkler system, smoke detectors and how to acknowledge and silence these alarms. This person will have some painting skills, or be proficient at patching, sanding and painting and hopefully wallpaper skills. Basic to good troubleshooting skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC. As well as good communication skills. This individual may be preforming rooms PMs, RMIs, and must be or learn to be proficient in Hot SOS.

This is an hourly position starting at $22.88.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 to 4 years building services construction or hotels.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Good electrical, plumbing and HVAC skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Some computer skills required.
• Must be able to work any day of the week and no specific shifts or days off, are guaranteed.
