Summary
Provide cloud software research, development, and engineering services to include requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, and issue diagnosis/resolution.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or in a related technical field which will be considered as two (2) years of experience is desired.
- NOTE: A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar degree will be considered as a technical field.
- Should have one of the following certifications or be willing to obtain within six (6) months of start: Cloudera Certified Professional (CCP) Data Engineer, Elastic Certified Observability Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), AWS Certified Developer - Associate, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect- Associate.
- Experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to work with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Accumulo, Big Table , et cetera.
- Demonstrated experience with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Accumulo, and/or Big Table.
- Demonstrated experience with Map/Reduce and/or Hadoop, Hive, and/or Pig.
- Demonstrated work experience with the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
- Active DoD TS//SCI Security Clearance with poly required.
Cloud Software Engineer , Jr.
- Zero (0) years of experience with a bachelor's degree.
- Two (2) years of experience in software integration and software testing , to include developing and implementing test plans and test scripts .
- One (1) year of experience developing software with high-level languages such as Java, C, C++ , et cetera.
Desired:
- Hadoop/Cloud Developer Certification
- Demonstrated experience with Big-Data Cloud Scalability (e.g. Amazon, Google, and/or Facebook)
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing web applications with JavaScript
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms.
- Demonstrated experience with compute cluster monitoring tools (e.g. Hobbit, Ganglia )
- Demonstrated experience with Accumulo internals , to include configuring, tuning, and testing Accumulo in many configurations (>200 node clusters).
Cloud Software Engineer , Mid
- Five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree.
- Four(4) years of experience developing software with high level languages such as Java, C, C++.
- Demonstrated work experience with Serialization such as JSON and/or BSON.
- Demonstrated work experience developing Restful services.
- Three (3) years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux (Redhat versions 3-5) operating systems.
