What You'll Do
Manage a book of business comprised of high net worth clients amounting to over $350k in revenue - Process policies as new business, renewals or rewrites. Process changes and follow up with client as necessary. Maintain client profiles/policies in agency management system
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with our partners, carriers and vendors
- Process incoming email, mail and calls from clients, lenders and insurance company personnel
- Maintain and be responsible for expiration reports
- Counsel clients and team on coverage and limits
- Assess when accounts need to be taken to market, quote and propose
- Provide proactive Risk Management techniques in identifying, analyzing and responding to a client's needs
- Provide renewal summaries of insurance in accordance with renewal service standards/schedule renewal meetings, when necessary
- Responsible to actively account round and cross sell when appropriate
- Understand risks/needs with high net worth clientele and proper carrier placement
- Work with underwriters to create unique risk solutions for high net worth clientele
- Review monthly statements from accounting and take necessary action
- Provide mentorship to team to help facilitate growth of team members, provide coverage for team members when necessary, collaborate with team and department manager to assist with time-sensitive work or when team is overloaded
- Work accurately and timely in all processes
- Understand and follow all company and department processes and procedures
- Work efficiently and effectively in a team environment. Ensure behavior consistently reflects the best interests of the team and the client
- Project a positive attitude toward company goals and team objectives
- Utilize intuitive behaviors to work with various personalities and styles
You Should Have:
- Must be able and willing to work onsite 3 days per week out of the nearest IMA office to you
- Minimum 5-7 years industry experience in Personal Lines within an insurance brokerage and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Middle market product expert and experience with High Net Worth carriers required
- Active P&C license required
- 4 year college degree preferred
- Insurance designation is a plus
- Successful track record in handling an increasingly complex book of business
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate on client's behalf and make strong, direct recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to delegate, effectively manage workflows, and problem solve independently
- Completed designation and willingness to continue pursuing a program for professional development
