Celerity has an opening for a CAD Drafter. The CAD Drafter will work on drawings for various underground utility pipelines and infrastructure. This would include overview maps, permit drawings, construction drawings, and other various drafting deliverables required for underground pipeline projects. This would be for new utility work as well as repairs, remediation, and investigation of existing utilities. Knowledge and understanding of typical various utilities and underground infrastructure is a plus.
Essential Functions
- Produce preliminary base maps, to include: interpretation and identification of wet and dry utilities, profiles, details, elevations, coordinates, exhibits, and vicinity maps
- Understanding of public right-of-ways, private easements, underground and aerial utilities
- General knowledge and familiarity of underground utilities, civil and mechanical engineering practices, and basic survey field processes
- Perform assigned responsibilities with moderate supervision
- Adhere to drafting standards
- Ability to work independently and stay on task
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Detail oriented and an attention to quality
- Good communication skills
Essential Skills/Qualifications - Proficiency using AutoCAD drafting software
- Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to meet client deadlines
- Organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or related) is a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment - Frequently utilization of computer to create CAD drawings
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 10 pounds
- This is a hybrid – work from home opportunity.
