Job description
The Exercise Physiologist is a vital member of the multidisciplinary cardiac rehabilitation team.
The Exercise Physiologist assesses patients; develops,implements and monitors exercise sessions as well as provide patient/familyeducation as it relates to exercise, home exercise program, self monitoring,risk factors/modifications and behavioral interventions.
Qualifications Required:
- Ability to effectively interactwith a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgroundsin a rapidly changing environment.
- Minimum ofa Cardiac Rehabilitation Internship or 1-2 years experience in cardiacrehabilitation program. Other requirements are dependent on type and/or currentneeds of the unit.
- Completionof an accredited degree program at the bachelor's level Science in ExercisePhysiology, Physical Therapy, Nursing or another Clinical Science degree isrequired.
