Job Description
- Responsible for all Electrical Design on large FEED and Detail Engineering Projects in the Oil & Gas and PetroChem Industries.
- Working and active knowledge of petrochemical plant electrical design drawings (one-lines, schematics, panel drawings, wiring drawings, plan drawings (power, grounding, lighting, cable tray), heat tracing subcontracts, etc.
- Working ability to use 3D model as a design tool (Smart Plant Review, Navisworks, Smart Plant S3D).
- Interface with other disciplines on a project basis. Good understanding of industry standards.
- Majority of the design tasks detailed by Company International Work Share Partners.
- Lead Designer must coordinate daily and check the work done by others, ultimately being responsible for each deliverable.
Skills Required
- Must have extensive AUTOCAD/MicroStation skills.
- LNG experience is preferred.
- Experience with major engineering contractors.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
- Willing to work at times at jobsites or International Work Share Partner, as needed.
- "Can-do" attitude, willing to work on tasks not in exact areas of expertise.
- Good working knowledge of basic electrical equipment and wiring for Petrochemical plants.
- Able to Lead the design effort on projects when asked, reporting progress, developing project schedules, directing work to project team members, complying with schedules and budgets.
- Good general computer software knowledge.
- Cross-discipline skills/experience in Instrument Design a plus
Education/Training/Certifications
- 2-year or 4-year CAD or Technology degree a plus.
