Assistant Golf Course Superintendent-in-Training
Country Club in Rye Beach, New Hampshire is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent-in-Training.
Position Overview:
The candidate will be exposed and educated on the many facets of course maintenance.
Such tasks include:
• General course maintenance (mowing etc).
• Course set up.
• Fertilizer/chemical application.
• Soil moisture and plant health monitoring.
• Disease and insect scouting.
• Irrigation management.
• Basic equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
Education in turf management or a turf-related field is encouraged but not required. Certain qualities are required such as:
Strong work ethic.
Ability to learn quickly.
Good time management skills.
Dependability.
Respect for the property.
Ability to produce high-quality results.
Golf course experience is preferred but not required. Some landscaping or knowledge of working outdoors is required.
Compensation:
$18 per hour.
Golf privileges.
Uniform.
Overtime pay.
