POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Member Service Representative is responsible for proving excellent customer service by processing orders to fulfill member needs and ensure customer satisfaction. This role requires flexibility to accept unexpected changes in schedule must be able to work overtime, weekends, and some holidays as necessary to meet the business needs. Our department mission is to ensure excellent service standards and ensure high customer satisfaction is maintained.

 

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 

• Process Member walk-in orders always following proper payment handling procedures to ensure accuracy when handling payments in the form of cash, personal checks, credit card, money orders, cashier check, royalty check or travelers check and when balancing register at the beginning and end of shift.
• Maintain a professional and business-like approach to internal and external customers
• Responsible for staying current with all company and department communication updates
• Responsible for opening a cash box daily, and processing orders accurately.
• Recycling Order Forms, after three months in the department.
• Responsible for the end of day order forms placed in a cabinet
• Reporting issues to the Supervisor for immediate resolutions.
• Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to company policies, procedures, and SOPs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills:

• Ability to type 35–40 words per minute
• 10 Key by touch and proficient mathematical skills
• Bi-lingual skills (Spanish/English)
• Good verbal and written communication
• Computer Office Skills (i.e., Microsoft Office Outlook Email)
• Ability to multi-task under competing deadlines
• Ability to problem solve from start to finish and be knowledgeable
• Strong organizational skills
• Positive attitude
• Ability to create an inviting and collaborative work environment

 

Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in a customer facing retail or banking position which handled high volumes of cash totaling over $5k, various forms of checks, and credit card transactions

 

Education:

• High school diploma
