Position Overview
CFS North America LLC is seeking an Associate Accountant to perform the day-to-day accounting function in the United States. Main responsibilities will include performing aspects of the accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions as well as financial reporting and analysis. Other responsibilities will include operational support duties as listed below. This position will report to the Regional Controller of CFS North America LLC. Open to a hybrid remote schedule following the training period.

Responsibilities
Accounting Duties:
- Perform all aspects of A/P, A/R, and general ledger postings
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
- Review and process employee expense reporting
- Analyze financial transactions and reconcile ledger balances to generate monthly financial statements and analysis
- Support the preparation of quarter-end and year-end financial statements outlined in the financial period closing circular by parent company
- Work closely with Regional Controller on various documentation requests such as quarter-end and year-end audits
- Assist Regional Controller with budget preparation
- Assist Regional Controller on coordinating year-end tax reporting with third party tax preparers
Operational Support Duties:
- Assist with required state registrations as a result of new employees or surpassing nexus thresholds
- Process benefit payments and provide information to third party vendors for required government reporting
- Compile information and reports for third party business insurance audits
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 0-2 years of relevant work experience or 3+ years of accounting work experience in manufacturing
- Competent knowledge of US GAAP standards and concepts especially in areas including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
- Professional knowledge and abilities to analyze problems for determining source of discrepancy, coordinating multiple assignments, schedules and deadlines, and proofing materials for accuracy and detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Outlook and Word; must be extremely proficient with Excel
- Clear and understandable presentation of information in both written and oral form
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret accounting literature, common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Capable of working independently and maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant work experience in the manufacturing industry
- Fully licensed CPA or in pursuit of CPA licensing
- Experience working in SAP or similar ERP systems a plus
- Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and to accurately handle extensive detail
- General physical tasks could be described as periodic bending, twisting, lifting up to 50 pounds and other physical functions as necessary to accomplish the other listed essential duties of the position.
