Job description
Position Overview: The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the construction projects for public works. This role will ensure construction projects are completed in a timely manner while adhering to budgets and building codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage the construction of public works projects including LAUSD and SDUSD.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide guidance and direction to staff during the project management process.
- Manage the budget, timeline, and resources for projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors.
- Ensure projects adhere to all safety and building codes.
- Prepare project progress reports and present to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Experience in construction and project management.
- Strong understanding of building codes, laws, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
