Job Description
As an Event Staff member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of various events, such as conferences, trade shows, and social gatherings. Your friendly nature and enthusiasm will be key in providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a positive atmosphere throughout the event. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of individuals and gain valuable experience in the events industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist with event setup and tear down, including arranging furniture and decorations
- Greet and direct attendees to their designated areas
- Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring a high level of service and adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Answer inquiries from attendees and address any concerns or issues that may arise during the event
- Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with event rules and regulations
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers to coordinate deliveries and ensure timely setup of equipment
- Collect and record event feedback from attendees to identify areas for improvement
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with attendees, vendors, and colleagues
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility in working hours, as events may occur during evenings and weekends
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects when needed
- Proactive and problem-solving mindset to effectively handle unexpected situations
- Prior experience in a customer service or hospitality role is a plus
