Job Summary:

The Walt Disney Company is scouring the known talent universe to find security engineers desiring to join our Studios Cyber Team. This position builds and operates systems that provide stay-secure capabilities to our Studio customers. We are partners in protecting Disney’s highly respected portfolio including Marvel Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Lucasfilm, Disney Live Action Films, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Searchlight Pictures, and 20th Century Studios.

What you will be doing?

• Deliver an improved security posture by maximizing best practice configuration, monitoring, and integrations that enable our Studio customers to improve their focus on the production of great content.
• Collaborate with multiple technical teams to design and implement security technology protections and mature operational processes.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operational procedures, technology configuration, and incident response procedures.
• Applies scripting and DevOps methodologies to provide automation and orchestration.
• Perform technical and architectural assessments with internal and external customers specifically on new feature implementation or integration with various tools Qualys, Tenable, or other applicable security technologies.
• Clearly document designed automation and system relationships, operational guidelines, security operations processes, and workflows.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of working in a technical, hands-on, information security role.
• Experience with programming or scripting languages – i.e PowerShell, Python, C#, VB, VBA, Ruby, NodeJS, SQL, etc.
• Proven understanding of a subset of NIST CSF, CIS Critical Security Controls (CSC), Git and GitHub, Crowdstrike Falcon, Qualys, Tenable, SCCM, Jamf, OS’ (Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS, Android) AWS, Azure)
• Technical knowledge of common information security tools and systems: DLP, MAM/MDM, Firewall/VPN, endpoint protection, PKI, RBAC, IAM, etc.
• Hands-on experience configuring multiple operating systems, databases, security platforms, and system integrations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to deliver practical automation using problem analysis and solving thought process.
• One or more current security-related certifications (e.g., CISSP, SANS GIAC, etc.)
• One or more cloud security certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, CCSP).

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.

The hiring range for this position in California is $123,902 to $166,210 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
