The Department of Transportation is seeking an experienced and diligent Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor to tackle the day-to-day supervision of our  Transportation Construction Inspectors! As a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor, your primary responsibilities will include planning, assigning, and reviewing work, as well as evaluating performance and providing employee training. You will supervise a team of construction inspectors and assess the quality of work on road or bridge construction projects. These projects may include tasks such as roadway overlays, widening, stabilization, earthwork, guiderail installation, and drainage. You will perform a variety of technical duties associated with the inspection of transportation construction projects, ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with approved construction plans and contract documents. You will serve as the team leader, overseeing the quality assurance process for materials, ensuring they meet all requirements outlined in the contract agreements. Additionally, you will be responsible for supervising the preparation of project documentation, cost estimates, and reports that record the utilization of labor, materials, and equipment.
