Job description
A Pharmacy Technician job opportunity in Birmingham, AL is now available through Adecco Medical & Science.
Type: Contract, with potential for extension
Length: 3+ months
Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am to 4 pm or 8 am to 4:30 pm
Pay: $19 to $23.68 per hour
Dress: Casual
Location: Onsite in Birmingham, AL
Responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician:
• Fulfill the shipping of specialty medication across the country.
• Will be working with up to 10 pharmacy team members in a fulfillment setting to ship medications to patients.
• Use multiple computer systems to obtain pharmacy orders, compare to order received and produce mailing labels
• Utilize the best method for product packing and shipping based on standard procedures to include type of packaging, unique conditions (i.e. refrigeration), etc. to ensure safe and secure delivery
• Prepare manual prescription orders by verifying information, pulling appropriate prescription drugs from inventory and complete necessary scanning and packaging as necessary
• Maintain various machines and equipment (e.g. IPD machines, auto packing machines)
Qualifications for the Pharmacy Technician:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Prior experience in pharmacy/shipping preferred
• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Active Alabama Pharmacy Technician license
