Job description

The University of Kansas Human Resource Management (HRM) is currently hiring for an Accommodation and Leave Specialist. HRM is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of services that improve the lives of those who work, learn, and visit the University of Kansas with a mission to empower a community of excellence. As a cross collaborative organization, the Accommodation and Leave Specialist works closely with employees and supervisors in a number of areas related to the ADA and broader Employee Relations issues. This role is responsible for the successful day-to-day support and execution of the disability accommodations process and of leaves in accordance with applicable laws. The incumbent will also serve as a subject matter expert for workplace accommodations under the ADA, the FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act), all other leaves of absence, workers compensation, unemployment, and other employee relations programs.
