Hyatt Centric Fisherman’s Wharf is looking for a hardworking Housekeeping Manager to run the heart of the hotel -- Housekeeping Department. If you are into organizing & cleaning, have good taste in design & decorating, this is the perfect job for you! Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in full-service hotel;
- Must be proficient in Windows operating systems, spreadsheets and word processing.
- Familiar with scheduling and payroll.
- Familiar with cleaning chemicals, procedures and standards.
- Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions.

- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly and service-oriented manner.
- Be punctual & report to work according to schedule.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform.
- Comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality’s standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Comply with certification requirements as applicable for position such as CPR and First Aid.
- Ensure training of all Housekeeping team members.
- Maintain follow-through of all guest requests, complaints and/or accidents regarding guest rooms and hotel public area.
- Motivate, coach and discipline all Housekeeping team members according to company policies.
- Review Housekeeping staff worked hours for payroll compilation and submit to Accounting on a timely basis.
- Conduct pre-shift meeting daily.
- Achieve high cleanness scores per brand standards.
- Prepare employee shift schedule according to the business forecast & payroll budget guidelines on a timely basis.
- Maintain a professional working relationship and promote open lines of communication with managers, team members and other departments.
- Establish and maintain key control system.
- Inspect rooms daily.
- Maintain required pars of all Housekeeping and Laundry supplies by ordering all needed supplies and amenities on a monthly/quarterly basis.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly Housekeeping inventories on a timely basis.
- Monitor work orders and submit to Engineering department according to procedures; Follow up on Maintenance Requests to ensure completion.
- Conduct weekly walk through with General Manager and Property Engineer.
- Ensure laundry is recorded for cleaners. Check and review incoming laundry at end of day to ensure all items have been returned.
- Properly store secure and issue supplies as needed to meet business demands.
- Complete all reports in a timely and efficient manner as required by management.
- Ensure completion of regular maintenance and cleaning projects on a biannual basis.
- Monitor all V.I.P.'s requests.
- Perform any other duties as requested by the Director of Operations.
This position is at a location where Hyatt is not the employer. The employer of individuals working at this hotel may be a third-party management company that is responsible for all employment benefits and obligations at this location.
