Job description
Provide experience with design and operations to translate the design intent on the engineering drawing into a product, using controlled processes, production methods, and advanced assembly techniques. Provide guidance on production manufacturing and assembly techniques and operating and working instructions. Responsible for First Article Inspections (AS 9102), working with Design Engineers to create and improve engineering drawings, creating production assembly processes, specifying and sourcing new tools and capital equipment and facility design and layout are also highly desirable.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years of Production or Development experience in Assembly or Component Manufacturing
- Experience with the following: PFMEA, First Article Inspection Processes, Process Development, Process Improvement.
- Experience using a production quality system
- Experience with reading, interpreting and contributing to the improvement of engineering drawings
- Experience working with SQCDP principals
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering or Engineering Technology

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with the use of FMEA, Risk Assessment and Mitigation
- Experience with Intelligent Torque Tools
- Experience with Part Marking Tools
- Experience authoring and publishing assembly/operating instructions for production
- Experience in tool design and development (SolidWorks is preferred, Unigraphics/NX or Pro-E are also acceptable)
- Experience with facilities design and startup
- Experience authoring and publishing rework and repair instructions
- Knowledge of AS9102B
