Job description

The Department of Humanities and Cultures at Converse University seeks a dynamic teacher-scholar for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Hispanic Studies starting August 2024. Scholarly interests in Latinx/Border Studies, Media Studies, Environmental Studies, and Spanish for the Professions are especially welcome. Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal arts setting, provide evidence of excellence in teaching and research potential, and show a willingness to collaborate with colleagues across campus. Minimum requirements include a PhD in Hispanic Studies by the start of the appointment, and native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English.
