**Join Our Team as a Senior-Level Data Analyst!**
Exciting Opportunity to Support Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) - Intel Customer
We are searching for an experienced Senior-Level Data Analyst to join our dynamic team in supporting our Client in Reston, VA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing advanced data analytics, predictive strategic planning, and visual analytics via an on-demand tasker. As a key member of the team, you will work independently to gather requirements, architect and construct data pipelines, track deadlines and deliverables, and storyboard narratives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the development of data analysis, explore financial data, and identify financial terminology and definitions.
- Develop repeatable canned reports and dynamic analytical dashboards for executive briefings.
- Standardize data operating procedures and facilitate making data-driven decisions within Mission Services (MS).
- Provide executive briefings exploring logistics, security assessment, facility maintenance, academic training, financial budget forecasting, workforce analysis, performance measurement, and business modernization.
- Support MS Senior Leaders with advanced directorate-wide analysis on budget prioritization, total cost of ownership, lowest priority list, and employee skillset and talent management.
- Gather key performance indicators (KPIs) and milestones for MS functional areas, catalog data sources, and document data dictionaries.
- Design performance metrics to drive process improvement and data collection.
- Craft executive summaries, provide Course of Action, conduct Analysis of Alternatives, recommend governance on data and policy, and provide dashboard support to various MS offices and functions.
- Integrate and implement requirements communicated by senior leadership, mission owners, and career fields for consistency with MSs dashboard/reporting efforts.
- Utilize iRMIS, myHR, Archibus, Service Central, Insight, Hindsight, and other Agency Information Systems for quantitative and qualitative data analysis and strategic planning.
Required Skills/Experience:
- 8+ years of data analyst experience for Senior, 5-7 years for Mid.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and visualization tools (Tableau Desktop)
- Proficiency in data preparation tools such as Tableau Prep or Alteryx
- Knowledgeable in data integration, ETL processing, and change management
- Proficient in Python or SQL, or other equivalent database/programming languages
- Excellent storyboarding and narrative-driven executive briefing skills
- Superior project management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimum instruction or supervision
- Willingness to work fully on-site for customer needs
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Knowledgeable in cloud computing environments such as AWS or MS Azure
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or CISSP certification
- Masters Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, or related fields
- Experience applying analytics best practices to data analytics and data visualization
- Experience with the Intelligence Community (IC)
Education Level:
Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, or related fields
