Job Title: HR Technology - Workday Compensation Consultant

Location: R emote

Pay rate: $ 65-72/hr.

Duration: 9+ months (Possible Extension)

Schedule: M-F EST/CST Time

Description:

Activities:


Support Integration of New Companies through Workday Configuration and active participation.
Actively participate in HRT Roadmap, providing expertise in Core and Advanced Compensation.
Manage, create, and maintain core and advanced compensation elements, including compensation packages, basis, plans, rules, etc.
Execute projects according to Carrier HRT PMO workflow.
Regularly communicate with functional teams on the progress of development projects.
Leverage the Workday community to provide support and implement best practices related to core and advanced compensation modules.
Understand and manage downstream systems' behavior, including effective dates, pay periods, and external payroll earnings, based on PECI or PICOF to Global View integration.



Job Description:
We are actively seeking an outstanding HR Technology - Compensation Specialist with profound expertise in the Workday Advanced & Core Compensation modules. This role necessitates a candidate who not only possesses technical mastery but also brings a strategic vision to align Workday configurations with the unique challenges posed by organizational goals.


Advanced Workday Proficiency: Demonstrate a profound understanding and proficiency in the Workday Advanced & Core Compensation modules, offering expert guidance on enhancements and best practices. Elevate our compensation strategies by leveraging the full potential of Workday's capabilities.


Cross-Module Collaboration : Collaborate seamlessly across various Workday modules, including HCM, Security, Recruitment, and Talent. Ensure that compensation solutions integrate harmoniously with other HR processes, fostering a cohesive and streamlined system.


End-to-end Process Knowledge: Possess a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processes, starting from the initial data input (GPS) in Carrier and extending to downstream interactions with payroll systems. Meticulously manage the external earnings and deductions module in Workday, considering the implications and gaining acceptance from stakeholders involved in the process.

Configuration Management: Exhibit agility in creating and editing compensation packages, basis, plans, rules, business processes, benchmark data, job profiles, grades, grade profiles, salary ranges, and steps. Prioritize defaulting compensation elements throughout the entire employee lifecycle (hires and job changes).


Global Compensation Basis Integration: Ensure that configurations align seamlessly with the current advanced compensation basis in Carrier, facilitating the integration of new populations into the annual compensation review. Guide users to adopt best practices, minimizing exceptions, and emphasizing a holistic approach within specified timelines.

Reporting and Analysis: Independently generate comprehensive reports, worksheets, and calculated fields to support configurations and decision-making processes. Harness the power of data to inform strategic choices and enhance the overall effectiveness of the Workday system.


Workday Release Management: Stay at the forefront of Workday releases, conducting in-depth research on their implications. Effectively leverage new features to enhance ongoing projects, providing insights into how additions, such as new entities, may impact existing configurations within Carrier's tenant.


Proactive Solution Building: Proactively analyze requirements and business cases, offering Workday Compensation perspectives to guide Total Rewards, GPS, and HRT teams towards best practices. Collaborate with product owners to ensure the realization of business requirements and meet SLAs effectively.


Implementation Oversight: Evaluate the level of effort required for configurations or enhancements, communicating effectively with the Workday Global Compensation Lead. Obtain necessary approvals for development and assess the impact of configurations, maintaining a delicate balance between responsibilities and project timelines.
