The Opportunity

The 'Sentinel' Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program will replace the aging Minuteman III (MMIII) ICBM, the first of its kind in over 50 years. This program is considered a “mega-project” and one of the most complex in the history of the Department of Defense. The new ICBM weapon system acquisition effort brings with it the newest digital engineering tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to meet existing warfighter requirements, while having the adaptability and flexibility to affordably address changing technology and threat environments through 2075. As part of the U.S. Air Force's Integration Support Contract (ISC), BAE Systems provides Advisory and Assistance Services in the areas of engineering, logistics, management, scientific analysis, and other subject matter expertise to augment and optimize management of the Sentinel ICBM Prime Contractor.
The Role
BAE Systems, Inc. Infrastructure and Deployment Division is seeking a Technical Project Manager to oversee division-wide management of Digital Ecosystems. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development, implementation, and sustainment of various digital systems, including both off-the-shelf and custom digital products, acting as the lead for management of stakeholder requirements, enhancements, and integration. The ideal candidate has a drive to further innovate and collaborate, as well as exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Manage the design, planning, development, and successful launch of applications, features and enhancements to custom and off-the-shelf digital products
- Oversee project life cycle of application development
- Develop and finalize cost estimates, project schedule, and design tasks
- Prepare and present project-related information to program leads
- Ensure appropriate data management and integration
- Oversee workload planning including resources needed to achieve project goals
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
- Schedule and lead brainstorming activities surrounding development functionality
- Explore new technologies that can be applied to solve challenging program initiatives
- Provide division-wide administration of Jira and Confluence systems
- Track and manage multiple systems access requirements for all division personnel and external stakeholders
