SUMMARY
The Technical Planner identifies materials and tooling requirements from aircraft data, engineering data, in accordance with the statement of work and develops task cards with budgets in accordance with the Repair Station Manual / Quality System Manual (RSM / QSM) with sequencing that optimizes order of operations efficiencies. The Technical planner coordinates with Sales, Engineering, Materials and Operations to ensure installers and mechanics have the available resources and documentation for efficient production activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and communicate all material requirements including purchased, manufactured, modified, exchanged, etc. materials as required for both Aloft supplied and Customer furnished equipment.
- Assist in developing Aircraft / Project Phasing and detailed sequencing of tasks.
- Develop and produce detailed sequence task cards for all departments and skillsets. in accordance with Aloft Standards and the RSM / QSM, from engineering drawings, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, Service Letters, etc., as required, to support the production plan.
- Process and catalog all applicable data from engineering, /customer i.e. drawings, task cards, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, etc. including revisions.
- Assure all applicable tooling and data requirements are identified and obtained in support of planning task card development and production needs.
- Responsible for planning configuration control to the task card level.
- Assist and mentor planners and supply chain personnel in technical areas.
- Provide feedback / corrections to engineering documents as required prior to issuing to production.
- Anticipate and communicate production needs to other departments to assure schedule compliance.
- Maintain appropriate computer databases as required within various shared files.
- Support the development and maintenance of historical information and database files for modifications and labor hours.
- Maintain and record accurate time accounting records in CIMA.
- Maintain safe and clean work areas, which are organized and regularly stocked with supplies.
- Maintain professional communication with customer / representatives both internally and externally.
- Complete initial / recurring training in a timely manner.
- Other duties may be assigned.
