JOIN OUR TEAM as a First Party Credit Union Loan Resolution Agent. As an agent on our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in collecting past due balances and providing exceptional customer service. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor and proactively contact members with early-stage delinquencies to discuss repayment strategies to mitigate loss and maintain the integrity of our credit union. The ideal candidate will thrive in this fast-paced and competitive environment!
Responsibilities:
- Assess and analyze members' financial situations to determinethe appropriate course of action for loan and credit account recovery.
- Build rapport with members by providing empathetic and compassionate customer service while upholding credit union policies and procedures.
- Research members' payment histories, account balances, and other relevant information to tailor repayment solutions that suit their financial capacity.
- Educate members on the benefits of meeting their financial obligations and the potential consequences of non-payment or defaulting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition for members who require further assistance or modifications to their loan terms.
- Document all interactions, agreements, and payment arrangements accurately in the credit union's system for future reference and reporting purposes.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, best practices, and credit union policies to provide accurate and compliant information to members.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information while adhering to privacy regulations and the credit union's data security protocols.
- Support credit union initiatives and participate in ongoing training programs to enhance knowledge and skills related to member engagement,retention, and account management.
Skill Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in customer service, call center, collections, banking, or financial services is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively negotiate and persuade members while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess members' financial situations and propose suitable resolutions.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, databases, and standard office software.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail.
- A self-motivated and proactive approach to work, demonstrating a commitment to meeting targets and deadlines.
- Sound knowledge of credit union products, services, and collection processes is an advantage.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements surrounding debt collection practices.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and adapt quickly to changes in a dynamic work environment.
**Must be available and willing to work late nights 2-3 nights a week. 10am-7pm optional schedule available as well.**
