Position Summary/Description:

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.

Digital and Lifelong Learning ( DLL ) supports a wide range of educational programs and services and meets the varied needs of both local and regional adult learners through a variety of in-person and online credit and noncredit course offerings, opportunities for professional development and personal enrichment, and the operation of the Friday Conference Center, a multipurpose conference facility.

The Admissions Director is responsible for the oversight and strategy for DLL -supported programs' recruitment and admissions.

The Admissions Director will collaborate with program directors to lead the admissions-related activities necessary to identify, evaluate, and select a diverse class of high-quality applicants and students for DLL -supported degree programs. These activities include but are not limited to managing application workflow, reviewing applications, and making admissions decisions on behalf of the University, prospect conversations, recruitment support and oversight, and yield activities. This position will work closely with colleagues in multiple offices across campus and is responsible for ensuring that the admissions process is efficient as well as aligned with campus policies and procedures.

In collaboration with the DLL's division of Marketing and Communications, the Admission Director shapes marketing strategy and implements marketing efforts. This position also serves as gatekeeper for the admissions and recruitment elements of program websites.

Education and Experience:

Master's degree and 5 years' experience in higher education enrollment and/or admissions
Strong leadership and project management skills
Experience working in Slate, Salesforce, PeopleSoft, and/or Tableau
Strong attention to detail when working with student information to ensure data integrity and privacy.
Ability and desire to learn new technology platforms, technical terminology, and data and reporting approaches.
Experience with web-based applications, including blogs, social media and CRM systems
