Highest Level of Education Required for this Position: Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
Qualifications (IE SAP Experience, Excel Knowledge, Any Certifications, Years of Experience in Certain Fields): Rockwell Automation Products (Studio5000, FactoryTalk View SE/ME, ThinManager), Virtual Machines, OT Network familiarity

The Controls Engineer will be responsible to apply engineering principles independently to all aspects of design, programming, and troubleshooting of automated industrial control systems.
The Engineer will have deep and broad competency in process automation of chemical plants using PLC and SCADA systems.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Capable of developing, implementing and supporting plant control system hardware, software and field instrumentation in an efficient and safe manner.
Effective at troubleshooting control system hardware and software and implementing corrective actions independently.
Actively participates in Design Reviews and PHAs as a team member or leader
PLC, DCS and SCADA control system configuration and programming
Working with highly hazardous chemicals at a manufacturing facility
Assisting with design documentation upkeep (e.g. PFDs, PIDs, equipment and instrument specification sheet, process package, MOC, interlock matrix, functional design specification) for both new and existing facilities while following department standards
Capable of assisting with loop tests, and interlock tests performed for new processes and for yearly ISO testing for calibration and interlock checks
Deep understanding of electrical distribution and power loading in industrial control systems
Complete all assigned tasks
Required -
Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering,or equivalent
At least 5 years of relevant experience, including programming PLC/DCS for chemical plant design and operation as well as process data collection and distribution for wider corporate use
Knowledge and experience of instrument engineering
Candidate should have knowledge of applicable codes and standards for process control hardware and software (e.g. UL listing, NEC, etc.) as applied to hazardous materials handling and manufacture
Experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix hardware and software
Experience with FactoryTalk View ME/SE
Ability to develop and interpret electrical schematics
Experience with developing and deploying ethernet based industrial networks
Preferred -
Experience with Siemens automation systems hardware and software
Experience with Siemens PCS-7
Experience in a rapid-growth environment
Trained in standard procedures for safe gas and chemical handling
Chemical plant operation experience strongly preferred
Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task
Team player with leadership abilities.
Self-starter with the ability to perform well under pressure and continuously changing priorities
Problem solving and decision making skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
