West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology seeks a Gynecologic Oncologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. The Successful candidate may have the opportunity to provide services at other worksites, including but not necessarily limited to, West Virginia University Hospitals, Inc., West Virginia University Medical Corporation doing business as "University Health Associates," [etc.] located in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Gynecologic Oncology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students and residents. The candidate will also have the opportunity (if desired) to conduct research. Promotion to Associate and Full Professor is expected following WVU School of Medicine guidelines. Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain a state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed ACGME accredited obstetric and gynecology residency program, as well as ABOG recognized fellowship program in gynecological oncology. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in both general obstetrics and gynecology and gynecologic oncology. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor ranks, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. The WVU Cancer Institute is one of the country's premier cancer treatment centers. Multidisciplinary medical teams use the latest cancer therapies, sophisticated technologies, and patient driven research to deliver the best possible treatment in state-of-the-art facilities operated by WVU Medicine. We offer treatment to those in West Virginia as well as patients from five border states. We have a very active clinical trial program, pharmaceutical studies, and emerging statewide WV Clinical Trials Network.
