Job description
DBS Staffing Services, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Batching Assistant to join our client's team. As a family-owned staffing company, we are dedicated to finding the best talent to support our clients' needs. As a Batching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operations of the batching production area, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in manually batching dry and liquid ingredients according to specifications
- Operate pumps, valves, and control systems to ensure accurate batching processes
- Perform basic laboratory testing and accurately record data
- Load and unload tanker trucks in compliance with FDA regulations
- Conduct tank and line cleanings using CIP systems and manage cleaning schedules
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP rules
- Operate forklift for material handling
- Ensure policies and safety procedures are followed at all times
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in a production facility is preferred
- Forklift experience is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint) and internet use
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Flexibility to work any shift, weekends, and holidays as required
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50-75 pounds
