Job description

This position functions as a Project Manager (PM) and is part of the KU Information Technology Project Management and Change Management Office performing a critical function of managing IT projects for campus. This group performs services for stakeholders on projects across all of KU IT and across campus.

This position is responsible for providing project management for medium- to large-scale campus projects. This includes project planning and organization, coordination, facilitation, monitoring, communication, and documentation. The PM will provide leadership and direction for project teams during all phases of the project lifecycle.

This position is required to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and integrity, have excellent follow-through and time management skills, have the ability to manage and lead multiple university strategic projects concurrently, and exhibit great attitude and energy in a team-focused environment.

Under the direction of the Assistant Director - Project Management and Change Management, this position is given significant latitude and independence in matters of importance within the performance of the duties of the position.
