Conroe, TX Facility- Job Description

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanic to join our team in Conroe, TX. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for mechanics and a background in heavy equipment and mining trucks. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety at our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed inspections and generate comprehensive repair plans.

• Read and interpret operation and service manuals, system schematics, and technical drawings.

• Utilize diagnostic computers to troubleshoot issues.

• Perform mechanical repairs on electric drive haul trucks (e.g., Komatsu 730 -> 980, Hitachi, and CAT 777 -> 797), among other heavy equipment.

• Replace parts such as valves, bearings, gears, and repair cooling and heating systems as necessary.

• Execute minor repairs on systems including engines, transmissions, final drives, brakes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment used in construction and mining, including large excavators, loaders, and 100-420t off-highway trucks.

• Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using tools like micrometers and gauges.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a mechanic specializing in mining trucks/heavy equipment.

• An Associate's degree is preferred.

• Proficient in reading and understanding technical documentation and schematics.

• Experienced with diagnostic computers and mechanical repairs on specified heavy equipment.

• Ability to write detailed inspection reports and repair plans.

• Competent in the use of basic hand tools and measurement devices.

• Must be able to replace parts, perform repairs, and diagnose issues accurately.
