Position Overview:

Role Responsibilities:

Instructional Leadership:

Collaborate with the Secondary Principal to deliver tailored instructional coaching aimed at achieving breakthrough academic results for every teacher.
Lead planning sessions with educators to ensure the consistent delivery of rigorous, Colorado Academic Standards-aligned content.
Support teachers in analyzing student work and data to address instructional gaps and ensure mastery of daily objectives and grade-level standards.
Serve as a model for revolutionary instructional methodologies and effective classroom management strategies.
Oversee Specialized Services, including Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), 504 plans, and Advanced Learning Plans (ALPs).
Facilitate the Remote Learning Program, providing support to staff and students.
Provide oversight of the Secondary Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) process.
Cultural Leadership:

Implement robust systems and routines to cultivate a safe, purposeful, and inclusive school environment.
Act as the Administrator on Duty, ensuring the maintenance of a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
Offer real-time coaching to support the establishment of strong classroom routines and procedures conducive to learning.
Support school-wide incentive and discipline systems, student events, and family/community engagement initiatives.
Uphold behavioral expectations to maximize learning time and ensure student safety.
Lead community gatherings to set the tone for academic excellence and foster a sense of belonging.
Maintain regular communication with families, soliciting input and sharing student progress updates.
Assessment Oversight:

Manage secondary testing and standardized assessments, including CMAS, iReady, PSAT/SAT, and AP exams.
Minimum Qualifications:

Current Colorado Teaching License and preferably a Colorado Principal License (or in the process of obtaining).
Master's Degree in Education or a related field.
Certification in English Language Acquisition (ELA) by the Colorado Department of Education strongly preferred.
Minimum of two years of school leadership experience, preferably at the secondary level.
Minimum of five years of teaching experience in a diverse middle or high school setting strongly preferred.
Minimum of one year of instructional coaching experience at the middle or high school level strongly preferred.
Experience and knowledge of MTSS preferred.
Proficiency in sheltered instruction and supporting English Learners required.
Spanish proficiency and/or experience working with English Learners preferred.
Experience with remote (distance/virtual) learning programs preferred.
Prior charter school experience preferred.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to: Secondary Principal

Supervisory Relationship:

The Secondary Assistant Principal will supervise licensed teachers and support staff as assigned.

Job Type:

Full-time (218-day schedule)

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range: $85,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year (based on experience)
Participation in CO PERA retirement program, including a PERA 401k contribution option
100% funding of individual medical benefits and various insurance plans
Approximately three weeks of summer vacation, four weeks of school holidays/vacations, and 10 days of annual paid time off.
