The Marketing and Communications department at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology is looking for the next Communications Manager to drive a wide variety of university communications and media/public relations activities.The qualified individual will be a good storyteller with a robust writing background. Journalism experience is a plus. This position is part of the marketing and communications team, serving as managing editor for various publications, covering news and events via social media, writing press releases and news articles, and working closely with university faculty and administration to identify newsworthy content to be used in promoting the university through various media outlets.

A bachelor's degree and 5-10 years' experience is required. Master's degree preferred.
