Job description
MDG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical QA Engineer familiar with the fast-paced environment of a digital marketing agency. The Technical QA Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our digital marketing solutions, as well as supporting the development team in delivering high-quality projects for our clients. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background alongside a deep understanding of marketing practices and tools. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with QA of visual and functional aspects of websites and web applications is key to this role.
Responsibilities:
- Testing visual and functional updates to clients websites and web applications
- Collaborate with the development and account teams to define and understand project requirements, acceptance criteria, and desired outcomes.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality of agency projects.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance testing across multiple platforms, devices, and browsers to identify and report defects, bugs, and inconsistencies.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that all enhancements and bug fixes integrate seamlessly with existing functionality.
- Verify the accuracy, functionality, and performance of web-based applications, ensuring they meet or exceed industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with developers and designers to resolve technical issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Continuously monitor QA procedures, identify areas for improvement, and propose and implement strategies to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation of releases and incorporated technologies for all client projects.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and marketing tools to ensure effective QA and to provide recommendations for improvement as necessary.
- Provide support during the deployment of marketing campaigns and solutions, including troubleshooting, investigating, and resolving any technical issues that may arise.
- Document and maintain comprehensive and accurate reports of test results, issues, and resolutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Technical QA Engineer, preferably in a digital agency environment.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, processes, and tools, with expertise in manual testing as well as experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Proficiency in testing web applications, mobile applications, APIs, and databases.
- Proficiency in testing accuracy of creative design implementation
- Familiarity with testing requirements from development, creative and media teams.
- Familiarity with marketing tools, technologies, and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM systems, CMS platforms, marketing automation tools).
- Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify quickly and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams would be a plus.
- Professional certifications in QA or relevant areas would be an advantage.
