Job description
OpenText is seeking a talented and motivated individual to assume the role of Software Engineer in the Identity and Access Management Engineering Department. This is a great opportunity for the individual looking to get involved with cutting edge technology in the Cloud Computing, Identity, and Access business.
The engineer will be designing, developing and troubleshooting software in the security space to help solve Authorization and Authentication challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Codes, programs enhancements, updates, and changes for portions and subsystems of security systems software.
- Crafts quality code from the ground up including appropriate unit tests.
- Participates as a member of a project team with other software engineers and stakeholders to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- 3-5+ years experience
- Must be able to work onsite at our Provo, UT office 3x weekly (Tue/Wed/Thu)
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience or understanding of software systems design tools and languages.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal English)
- Programming skills in Java or other high-level language
- Knowledge of Linux
- Must be able to assume project responsibility and deliver on milestones
- Ability to solve problems quickly and completely with minimal oversight from supervisor
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment
- Experience in SCRUM or other Agile development processes
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud provisioning and service orchestration tools (e.g. Helm, Terraform, Terragrunt)
- Load balancing, Kubernetes, clusters, building scalable systems
- Knowledge in Identity and Security
- Federation technologies: OAuth, SAML, WS-Fed, etc
- Knowledge of databases
