As the faculty development coordinator, you will provide comprehensive coordination and management with a high level of attention to detail for operational logistics, scheduling and reporting for all faculty professional development programs, including SCAD Best Practices in Teaching workshops, Teaching Success Program, SCADpro studio training and quarterly faculty conferences; and serve as a professional model through a positive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented approach. In this position you will be expected to organize training materials and resources related to instructional engagement and the university’s quality of instruction initiatives, maintain accurate attendance of faculty development programs, organize and maintain departmental communications, support academic leadership by reviewing course evaluations and classroom observations; organize and ensure completion of faculty professional development assignments, and act as a representative of faculty professional development and academic quality.

As the development coordinator, it is important that you maintain a comprehensive project timeline; coordinate, arrange, and prepare materials for meetings; and proactively request, maintain, and compile current university and departmental data. In this position you will support and liaise between internal departments during the onboarding and orientation of new faculty, distribute approved information, prepare travel requests and related forms, and participate in university functions and events as needed. As the coordinator you will provide faculty professional development content for printing, publishing, and promotion. Additionally, you will collaborate with a faculty development content creator on media projects and may be asked to run official errands and support the department of academic quality.

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
