Pediatric Emergency Medicine - Full time Opening

Memorial Hermann has an opportunity for an Emergency Medicine Pediatrician to join our  Emergency Medicine team for Part-time Coverage at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital located in Southwest Houston. This facility sees an annual volume of approximately 55,000. 149 licensed bed. The qualified candidate should be board certified with a valid TX license.

Position Highlights:

• Opening is for Nocturnist & weekend coverage
• Shifts are normally 8 hours, can also schedule 12s or blocks if needed
• Qualified candidates should be one of the following:
  • Pediatricians with ER work experience
  • Pediatric Emergency Medicine physicians
  • Pediatricians with extensive pediatric Urgent Care experience
• Generous Compensation
• Required: PALS, BLS, ACLS

Pediatrics:

11k visits prior to surge

Daily volume during surge can be 50-70; Currently 40-50s

Separate unit w 8 bed pediatric EC w/ shared waiting room w/ general EC

All rooms critical/sedation capable

Critical pediatric patients can be seen in main ER

10-15% admissions/transfers

Pedi Orthopedic admissions

General Surgery support
