The Contracts and Procurement organization strategically supports the operating Divisions to assist in company growth and reduce contractual risk. The Contracts Administrator is responsible for leading the contract administration activities related to several contracts supporting the Department of Defense. The right individual will have experience managing the life cycle of contracts as a prime contractor for DoD contracts, from the initial proposal phase, through award and contract performance, to close out.

Responsibilities:

The Contracts Administrator is the primary contractual point of contact with the Government Contracting Officer, prime contractors, and SPA program personnel. Responsibilities include prime contract administration, including modifications, equitable adjustments, reporting and file maintenance; review and analysis of solicitation packages and proposal support; and independently negotiate terms and conditions, scope, cost and price of government contracts. The individual has autonomy for the assigned area of responsibility and acts as staff resource for company practices and policies and governing customer acquisition requirements.

The Contracts Administrator exercises a high degree of independent judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions and applies a significant degree of analytical ability to understand and interpret complex data to solve complex problems. This position regularly interacts with customers, management (at all levels) and members of functional management with regard to acquisition requirements and issue resolution.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
• 4 - 8 years of experience in contract administration with contractors to the federal government. Strong background and understanding of government contracts is required.
• Knowledge of applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations. (ITAR), and related federal and state legislation and regulations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be detail oriented and organized

Desired Qualifications:

• Have or be eligible for a DoD security clearance up to the Top Secret level
