Job Summary:
Disney+ is looking for a Manager of Marketing Strategy to lead global marketing campaigns as the streaming service embarks on its exciting next chapter! As an essential addition to the Marketing Strategy team, the Manager will help craft the strategic vision for the Disney+ brand globally and work cross-functionally to ensure marketing plans are set and track against goals.
Reporting to the Director, Marketing Strategy, Brand Management, this role will be responsible for developing the overarching brand strategy, identifying audience opportunities, providing mentorship and execution of fully integrated marketing campaigns for Disney+ and the Disney Bundle. They will work closely with their partners across the Disney+ marketing team including Creative, Product, Partnerships, Growth, Media, Synergy, Social and Digital, Publicity and Communications, Lifecycle, and Research, as well content marketing teams across Disney Entertainment to build full-funnel marketing campaigns that drive awareness, acquisition, and engagement for Disney+.
Additionally, this person will work closely with international marketing teams to steward brand campaigns globally, as well as the Hulu marketing team to support the service’s upcoming consumer launch of Hulu on Disney+ subscriber experience.
The ideal candidate for this role is an excellent communicator and strategist, who is proactive, creative, organized and kind.
Responsibilities:
- In partnership with Director and Vice President of Marketing Strategy, help shape overarching brand strategy for Disney+ and Disney Bundle
- Develop marketing strategies for Disney+ and Disney Bundle including brand, season, audience-targeted, and promotional campaigns
- Work with cross-company partners to develop Disney+’s multicultural audience strategy, championing diversity and inclusion in all of its content and campaigns
- Lead cross-functional team planning to develop and implement campaigns, including leading weekly meetings, drafting campaign overviews, and owning project documents
- Collaborate and consult on planning and execution with marketing channel leads like Creative, Social and PR
- Serve as key global contact for international Disney+ brand marketing campaigns
- Build presentations and post-campaign analysis for key partners.
- Provide constant communication of our campaigns, crafting and delivering detailed plans to executive leadership, cross-channel marketing team as well as key stakeholders and partners
- Act as a key point of contact for partners across the enterprise including Disney Entertainment Studios, Television, and Disney Experiences
- Be ready to brainstorm big ideas and innovative ways to elevate the Disney+ brand and connect deeper with our consumers
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent years of work experience
- 5+ years of experience in a marketing role and/or similar function leading high-priority Brand projects with multiple key partners and direct report(s).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of marketing landscape, particularly in the streaming space
- Background with media or brands as well as shepherding large scale, cross-channel marketing campaigns
- Experience working with highly matrixed marketing organizations.
- High degree of proficiency around marketing strategy and campaign planning and management
- Management of small teams in the marketing space
The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $95,446 to $123,518 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
