The group covers five business areas: Hearing Care, Hearing Aids, Hearing Implants, Diagnostics, and Communications. The Diagnostic Group is part of the Diagnostics Division and is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to join our team in the Arlington Heights, IL office.
The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the human resources needs and implementation of best practices to support achievement of both HR and business objectives. This position will perform administrative, strategic, employee relations and planning duties. Also accountable for the vital task of ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations for HR policies and processes. This position must be able to balance overall business needs, employee support and ongoing operational needs of the company while maintaining compliance with al HR regulations.
- Investigate and resolve all employee relations issues and be part of driving HR compliance through the US Diagnostic businesses.
- Follow, develop, and maintain Corporate and Diagnostics policies, ensuring compliance of such policies in all employee interactions.
- Initiate process implementation or improvement in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Drive and support HR Core Delivery Diagnostic initiatives ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Ensure data integrity within HRIS system, reviewing and approving employee changes such as supervisor, location, or terminations are accurate and appropriately documented.
- Counsel and advise leadership regarding performance.
- Lead, manage, track, and submit Merit and Performance review process.
- Provide guidance and serve as a trusted counsel to employees, managers, and leaders.
- Participate in HR initiatives.
- Utilize the current LMS platform Fuse, to engage managers and provide updated information and knowledge.
- Support integration of newly acquired entities into the Diagnostics business from an HR perspective.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to influence and drive process change and enforcement; work independently and drive process execution.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- 5 years of experience managing a variety of employee relations issues.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Human Resources or related Business field and 5 years’ experience; or an equivalent combination of education; training and experience.
- Familiar with State and Federal Employment Laws
- Consultative approach to employee and management issues, with expertise and experience in coaching and providing feedback to all levels of the organization.
- Experience working in a multi-location environment. Advising and coaching remotely is a prerequisite for success
Travel:
- This position is subject up to travel up to 15% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
