About this position:

We are looking to hire a Software Tester . In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of various applications through comprehensive testing and automation. You'll collaborate across teams, use tools like Jira and Xray, and need skills in Confluence, Jira, Unix, SQL, communication, and SDLC knowledge.

Salary Range: Compensation is determined by the candidate's expertise and experience.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

1. Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports for various applications based on business requirements 
2. Develop test automation scripts.
3. Must be familiar with API test automation with tools 
4. Perform test automation using tools like Selenium, Xray 
5. Perform functional testing on various business components, modules and functionalities.
6. Perform other testing aspects such as system testing, regression testing, integration testing 
7. Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process.
8. Review and analyze user requirement documents in tools such as JIRA.
9. Identify and facilitate issue resolution with functional and technical groups 
10. Document the entire quality assurance testing process in test management tools such as Xray, Jira and communicate the test results to the team constantly.
11. Work with other functional Testers and non-functional testers and collaborate with project manager, developers, business analysts and representatives from business units throughout the testing process.
12. Participate in the user stories review meeting, project sync-up meeting, and other meetings as required .

Required Education/Qualifications:

• Security Clearance: Top-Secret security clearance, fully adjudicated .
• Education: Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent field, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Experience Levels: Roles classified based on experience levels and proficiency in tools and technologies. 0-3 years for Junior roles, 3-6 years for Mid-level, 6+ years for Senior, and 12+ years for Architect roles.
• Tools and Technologies:
  • Proficiency in Test Automation, experienced with tools like Selenium and Xray for test management.
  • Skilled in API Testing using tools such as Postman, RestAssured , and SoapUI.
  • Experienced with Git for version control.
  • Proficient in utilizing JIRA for requirement tracking and defect reporting.
  • Basic knowledge of UNIX command-line operations and SQL for database data validation.
  • Familiar with CI/CD integration, including the use of tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
  • Understanding of foundational Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of Performance Testing Tools, including JMeter.
  • Experience in Cross-Browser Testing to ensure compatibility across various browsers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project, and SharePoint).
• Skills: Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills for debugging purposes.
• Personal Attributes: Self-driven, customer-focused, Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Process & Methodology: Experience in Agile and DevSecOps methodologies, and project management.
• Certifications: Security+ CE Certified
• Articulation and Execution: Mid-level to Senior roles, ability to clearly articulate ideas is key, fostering successful project execution and enhancing team synergy .

Additional Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Previous experience working with DoD systems, showcasing familiarity with defense-related projects and security requirements.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Familiarity with Personnel Security is a plus.
