We’re currently looking for a passionate and creative SEO Writer Intern to join our team in Los Angeles.This internship will last approximately five months.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of SEO writing and strategy from start to finish. Our dream candidate is someone who is capable of identifying search trends by utilizing digital research tools to uncover the most profitable keywords and phrases, and then transforming that data into compelling copy to improve the search engine ranking of our website. Impeccable writing and proofing skills are a must, and because we're all about celebrations and feel-good moments, we're looking for someone whose writing is as enticing to a human reader as it is to a search engine. Evite's products are used by tens of millions of hosts and guests each year. The main focus of our optimization efforts is on our invitation and eCard gallery pages. We are the originators of a unique and large market, so we expect you to thoroughly learn about our products and incorporate that knowledge into your writing. (Good news—our products are really fun!)

We are also highly agile, data-driven, and collaborative. You will be working primarily with our Senior Copywriter, but you'll also likely collaborate with other members of our team in your quest to become the best SEO Writer ever. Come join the party!

Core Capabilities: 

• The ability and desire to produce excellent SEO writing that increases organic search traffic, impressions, and position in SERPs.
• Knowledge of how to utilize digital research tools to create a strategy behind the writing.
• Ability to produce error-free and fully optimized copy efficiently without compromising quality. 

Responsibilities:

• Writing SEO-rich bottom-of-page copy for our product gallery pages (approx. 150). 
• Optimizing and improving the tone of our current top-of-page copy on our product gallery pages (approx. 200).
• Identifying search trends, optimal keyword density, and internal linking opportunities by utilizing digital research tools to uncover the most profitable keywords and phrases to use in the copy. 
• Learning about our product offerings to inform your writing.
• Proofing your own writing.
• Including links when needed within the copy.

Additional Preferred Requirements:

• Training/education in SEO writing and strategy.
• Familiarity with SEO tools like SEMrush and Google's Keyword Planner, as well as other programs like Google Sheets and Google Docs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is the bar.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• High attention to detail.

The compensation range for this role is $20/hr.
