Position Summary:
Post Doctoral Associate
The Department of Statistics in the School of Arts and Sciences is seeking a Post-Doctoral Associate for a grant funded one-year appointment starting July 1, 2024, working with Professors Cun-Hui Zhang, Rong Chen and Han Xiao. The position may be renewable for a second year. The successful candidate will work on a project supported by a NSF FRG grant. Ability to develop innovative statistical methods, theory and applications of high dimensional time series are essential. A PhD in Statistics or a related field is required. Research interests in high-dimensional stationary and nonstationary time series analysis, non-Gaussian time series, space-time processes, as well as the (distributional) computational problems arising in these areas is highly desired. The successful candidate must also demonstrate innovative thinking and the ability to work independently.
