Sales Support Manager Responsibilities for assigned hotels:

· Cover Director of Sales or Sales Manager duties for assigned hotel(s) in absence of permanent DOS or Sales Manager.

· Onboard and train new sales hires.

· Assist with prospecting, telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, sales blitzes, site tours, client entertainment, community involvement and networking activities at assigned hotels not meeting revenue goals to increase sales pipeline.

· Continually search for and present new sales techniques and methods to introduce to hotel properties.

· Administrative duties directed by Vice President Sales & Revenue Strategy.

· Cross-sell KAJ hotels in area/region and pass leads off to other KAJ portfolio Director of Sales. Match hotel(s) need dates with guest’s needs ensuring an offering to each guest.

· Research and maintain knowledge of market trends, business news, competition and customers.

· Develop and continually enhance relationships with key corporate accounts, business travel and industry accounts, community organizations and professional associations to maintain high visibility and increase market share.

· Be engaging and relationship driven in day-to-day encounters with customers.

· Sell a memorable experience while delivering “Here for People” Service.

· Conduct sales presentations to clients using the most effective methods.

· Retain and grow existing accounts through competitive market, industry research, analyzing guest needs and creative problem solving.

· Successfully and consistently achieve minimum weekly sales activities and record all sales activities in Amadeus Delphi.

· Participate in weekly market sales meeting and monthly revenue calls with detailed sales updates for assigned hotel(s.)

· Utilize available tools and analyze business to make profitable decisions for KAJ hotels. Emphasize higher rate on peak days of the week.

· Maintain successful working relationship with all sales team members, Revenue and General Managers for greater good of hotel portfolio revenue.

Sales Support Manager Expectations:

· Travel to hotel properties as assigned. Coverage will be a combination of approximately 25-50% travel and 50% remote office depending on needs of the hotel(s.)

· Follow a schedule for rotating office hours at assigned hotel(s.) Communicate this schedule with hotel teams so they are aware.

· Expected to be available when business demands it and be on call per client needs.

· When filling property vacancy, expected to conduct 10-15 Face to Face client meetings, 30-40 Cold Calls (telephone, email, in person), 2-5 Site Tours with clients, 15-20 Maintenance Touch points with clients.

· Maintain Prime Selling Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (Monday – Thursday)

· Ensure all Meetings, Direct Bills, and Guest Room Blocks have a signed contract, along with a signed credit card authorization form for assigned hotel(s.)

· Ensure prompt response (within 4 Hours) to all inquiries and customer requests when filling property vacancy.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
