Job Description
The Fredericksburg Soccer Club Incorporated (FSCI), a youth soccer club based in Fredericksburg, Virginia, has an opening for a Technical Director. FSCI offers a travel soccer program, recreation academy program, and training programs.
Technical Director : 1 Full-time position available. The Technical Director will lead all education aspects for all programs in the club. We are looking for an energetic person that enjoys working with youth.
Essential Job Functions include but not limited to:
- Mentor coaches on issues of leadership, motivation, relationships, child development, and the mental aspect of the game.
- Develop and enhance the curriculum, learning objectives, periodization for all programs and all age groups.
- Develop plans to ensure everything builds towards the club style of play and club culture.
- Observe, assess, and provide feedback to coaches to ensure quality.
- Maintain a library of written and video recorded activities.
- Lead, plan, propose a parent education program.
- Lead, plan, propose special programs for players.
- Lead, plan, propose initiatives to improve the player experience.
- Technical liaison for league matters and interaction with other clubs
Support event logistics such as tournaments, camps, leagues, etc.
Requirements for the Position:
- Hold at least a USSF B License or related United Soccer Coaches equivalent license.
- Ability to demonstrate technical skills and teach players.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent IT Skills, specifically using spreadsheets, presentations, word processors, etc.
At least ONE of the following desired attributes:
- Ability to speak both English and Spanish
- Previous management, sales, or marketing experience
- Previous work experience as a teacher or psychologist
