Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club is a private member-owned club, recognized as a Platinum Club® of America, located in the Town of Orchid, just north of Vero Beach, and beautifully situated on 600 acres from the ocean to the river.

Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club is seeking a Golf Shop Sales Associate . You will be afforded the ideal opportunity to put your sales skills to work in a beautiful environment and friendly atmosphere, just steps away from the white sand beach and the Audubon-certified golf course designed by the legend Arnold Palmer.

Golf Shop Sales Associate Position Overview

The Golf Shop Sales Associate sells merchandise in the Golf Pro Shop, ensuring that the shop operation is functioning well and that all phases of service and execution are optimal. This candidate must operate a point-of-sale (POS) system, have outstanding customer service skills, enthusiastically promote the game of golf, and have knowledge of and ability to perform a required role in emergencies while conducting themselves in a professional and friendly manner.

Primary Responsibilities

• Advises members and guests about attire, golf clubs, supplies, etc.
• Arrange and display Pro Shop inventory.
• Assists with Golf Pro Shop Merchandising
• Records all sales transactions.
• Operates point of sale (POS) system.
• Collects and records greens fees and golf car rental fees.
• Issues receipts for greens fees and golf car rentals.
• Takes messages for members who may be on the course.
• Assists in packing and unpacking inventory.
• Recruit tournament participants.
• Assists with special orders.

Education, Experience, & Requirements

• Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent; some college preferred.
• Previous customer service retailing experience.
