Job description

This position is grant funded, applicants must currently be students at a New Jersey higher education institution to be considered.

OVERVIEW OF POSITION: Working closely with membership staff, the membership Development Intern is responsible to recruit and engage, girl and adult members in assigned geographical areas. This position engages various stakeholders (prospective customers, businesses, community leaders, etc.) within the community to market and sell the Girl Scout experience.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement developed recruitment strategies
Market recruitment activities to ensure maximum participation
Develop internal and external partnerships with key stakeholders to support recruitment efforts
Develop and maintain positive internal and external customer relationships
Accurate and timely completion of assigned work activities and reports

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Environmental scanning and community engagement
Data analysis
Technical computer skills in Google G Suite for documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, customer relationship management systems, and social networking. Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies with ability to understand basic data quality principles and practices.

OTHER EXPECTATIONS:
Will spend ~25% of time outside of the office so reliable transportation is required.
