Job description

Elite Staffing Network is seeking a fulltime Psychiatrist in support of the Mental Health Clinic at Keesler AFB in Biloxi MS .

Work Schedule:

Monday Friday 9 hours between 7:00am and 5:00pm with a onehour lunch break

Very limited OnCall (max 500 hours per year (approx 4 weeks total annually).

Job Specific Details and Tasks: The duties include but are not limited to the following:

Duty 1 The HCW personnel shall provide for patients as scheduled by the Government.

Duty 2 Examines evaluates diagnoses and treats psychiatric disorders.

Duty 3 Prepares and reviews case histories and obtains and evaluates data through interview techniques.

Duty 4 Diagnoses psychiatric disorders.

Duty 5 Prescribes and evaluates effectiveness of a wide range of therapeutic measures.

Duty 6 Recommends disposition of psychiatric cases.

Duty 7 Advises on problems related to mental health and prevention of mental disorders.

Duty 8 Serves as medical and psychiatric consultant to clinical psychologists and clinical social workers.

Duty 9 Attend and participate in meetings during normal duty hours and professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities such as but not limited to the following: Quality Improvement meeting professional staff meetings Commanders staff meetings Mental Health Flight meetings safety huddles and others required by applicable regulations MTF guidance or as directed by the Mental Health Flight Commander or his/her designated representative.

Duty 10 Advises on kind and quantity of psychiatric supplies and equipment.

Duty 11 Coordinates psychiatric services with other medical facilities.

Duty 12 Consults with medical personnel legal authorities military commanders and school districts as required.

Duty 13 Maintain accurate and current notes in both the Mental Health records and inpatient medical records of all patients seen as appropriate and produces reports of evaluation and/or treatment as required.

Duty 14 Participates in military specific training (e.g. training to perform Command Directed Evaluations medical evaluation boards temporary disability retirement list (TDRL) evaluations security clearances Military Training Instructor clearances prepost deployment screening PTSD and combat stress)

Duty 15 Performs computer operations and be proficient in the use of basic word processing data entry and electronic medical records.

Duty 16 Instructs interns and residents in psychiatric principles and procedures.

Duty 17 Produces number of normally scheduled visits during any UrgiCare time worked as directed by the MTF.

Duty 18 Producing a monthly average of patient visits and Relevant Value Units (RVUs) consistent with department norms.

Duty 19 Any additional healthcarerelated duties as required by DAFIs applicable DHAPIs DoDIs and MDGIs.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).

* Education: Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges; Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) at the time the degree was obtained (e.g. Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school must provide education and medical knowledge substantially equivalent to accredited schools in the United States. Evidence of equivalency to accredited schools in the United States is demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country or successful completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.

* Internship/Residency : Successful completion of an internship and residency program (corresponding to the specialty required in the TO) which has been approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or the Committee on Postdoctoral Training of the American Osteopathic Association. Subsequent to obtaining a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree a candidate must have had at least 1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting (i.e. a 1year internship or the first year of a residency program in a hospital or an institution accredited for such training). For purposes of this requirement graduate training programs include only those internship residency and fellowship programs that are approved by accrediting bodies recognized within the United States or Canada.
* Experience: Shall have a minimum of 24 months within the last 36 months n similar field

* Board Certification: The HCW shall have national and/or state (required) approved and current board certification or board eligible certification in the specialty area in which they provide clinical services.
* Licensure/Certification: Active/unrestricted physician license from any state
* Life Support Certifications: AHA or ARC BLS Certification
* Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
