Job Summary: Under general direction, the Graduate Systems Analyst
serves as the primary liaison for the PeopleSoft-Graduate Admissions Module and serves the first point of contact for the Radius CRM
software-Graduate Module. Responsibilities entail creating or modifying PeopleSoft SQL data queries, resolving technical issues, and swiftly
identifying viable solutions for both PeopleSoft and Radius systems. Additionally, the role involves delving into intricate data
compilation, statistical analysis, and supporting institutional objectives and functional requirements.
Liaison - Business
Intelligence Systems and Programming:
- Act as the primary liaison for PeopleSoft - Graduate Admissions Module. Collaborate with
Administrative Computing and Business Intelligence to identify opportunities for standardizing processes, integration, archiving, and
eliminating unnecessary process redundancy.
- Create or modify PeopleSoft SQL data queries by joining data tables from central
repositories, linking prompt record tables, and merging subqueries/union navigations.
- Collaborate with ITS division, to solve
PeopleSoft and Radius CRM functional and technical problems; investigate and seek solutions to complex issues; and conduct business analysis
to support or recommend new solutions or use existing solutions to meet business needs.
- Act as first point of contact for the
Radius CRM graduate module. Providing Radius CRM access, training, technical solutions, and subject matter expertise to staff and student
assistants and collaborate with ITS division for most complex technical issues.
- Provide responsive support to problems in
PeopleSoft affecting normal operations to minimize downtime and loss of productivity and service.
- Create technical documentation of
PeopleSoft and Radius CRM as a resource for future development and troubleshooting.
- Maintain computer hardware and coordinate with
ITS department for troubleshooting and system updates.
- In collaboration with ITS division, maintain integration of student data
from PeopleSoft to Radius CRM system. Troubleshoot data issues, identify solutions, fix errors, and reconcile discrepancies across different
data repositories that may occur during the integration process.
Data Analysis:
- Engage in complex data compilation,
statistics, and analysis supporting institutional goals and constituent functional needs.
- Contribute relevant information to the
institution's data governance policies to ensure appropriate access and use of data.
- Leverage data visualization skills to develop
user-friendly reports to communicate critical trends related to the institution's strategic initiatives.
Processing:
- Compile, maintain, and disseminate confidential student data within PeopleSoft for the purpose of graduate admissions.
- Search,
Match, and Post applications from CSU Apply to existing applications in PeopleSoft for domestic and international graduate
applications.
Student Assistants:
- Assist in the planning, recruitment, and scheduling of student assistants.
- Other
Other classification-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree
and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or
improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs, PLUS two years of related experience.
Required
Qualifications - Working knowledge of and ability to apply standard theories, principles, practices, and techniques
applicable to the program and/or administrative specialty to develop conclusions and make recommendations.
- Thorough knowledge of
policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to the applicable program and/or administrative specialty.
- Working
knowledge of operational and fiscal analysis and techniques.
- Ability to take initiative and independently plan, organize,
coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved.
- Skill in the research,
development and evaluation of policies and programs, including skill in the collection, evaluation, and interpretation of data to develop
sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
- Expertise in investigating and analyzing problems with a broad
administrative impact and implications. Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively.
- Demonstrated ability to
effectively interpret, organize, and present information and ideas in written or presentation form.
- Ability to train others on new
skills and procedures and provide lead work direction.
Preferred Qualifications - Two (2) years of
advancing responsibility in utilizing the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions system and Radius CRM software.
- Experience in higher
education or admissions offices is preferred.
- Applying standard theories, principles, and practices relevant to the program or
administrative specialty to draw conclusions and offer recommendations based on sound knowledge.
- Taking initiative and autonomously
planning, organizing, and executing tasks in diverse and demanding situations.
- Proficiency in researching, developing, and
assessing policies and programs, including the collection, evaluation, and interpretation of data to formulate well-founded conclusions and
recommendations.
- Demonstrated capability to effectively organize and present information and concepts in written documents or
presentations.
- A strong understanding of the admissions process is necessary.
- Proficiency in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions
and Radius CRM software is necessary for smooth graduate admissions operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills for teamwork,
independent management of multiple tasks, and excellent analytical and communication skills are also essential for the preferred
candidate.
Compensation and Benefits Anticipated Hiring Range: $4,170 per month
Classification
Salary Range: $4,170-$7,545 per month
The salary offered will take into account internal equity and experience among other
factors.
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the
California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Eligible employees are also

Position Information Work status:
Full-time/Exempt/Probationary
Academic year schedule: Monday through Friday (8:00 am - 5:00 pm), some
evenings/weekends. Summer schedule: Monday through Thursday (7:00 am - 5:30 pm), some
